Pass your ASE test or we extend you free
Do the practice work before test day. If you still don't pass, we add 90 days to your access at no charge.

What we promise
If you qualify under the rules below and you don't pass your ASE certification test, we extend your Auto Tech Prep access by 90 days, free. That extension is the entire remedy — see Extension only, never cash below.
How to qualify
All of this has to be finished before the date on your ASE score report, in the same certification series you're testing for (A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical, and so on). Work done after the test doesn't count.
- At least 7 timed full-length practice tests in that series, each completed to the end.
- At least 7 non-full-length practice sessions in that same series — readiness checks or content-area drills.
- A 70% or better overall average across that work, counted across every question you answered in it.
Your account tracks all three counts for you — on your dashboard, and at the top of this page once you've picked a series. That tracker shows practice activity only. Whether the work landed before your test date is checked against your ASE score report when you claim.
How to claim
Within 30 days of your ASE test date, email [email protected] from the address on your Auto Tech Prep account and attach your official ASE score report — the report ASE issues showing the test you sat and the result. Tell us which certification series it was.
We check it against the practice record on your account and reply. A self-reported score, a screenshot of a dashboard, or a photo of a testing-center printout isn't enough; we need the official report.
Extension only, never cash
An approved claim adds 90 free days to whatever you're holding at the time: a 90-Day Pass gets 90 more days, and an annual or monthly subscription has its current term pushed out 90 days. Nothing is charged for it.
The guarantee is not a refund. There is no cash payout, no partial credit, no discount in place of the extension, and no transfer to another person or account.
Separately, every plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee from purchase. That refund window is its own thing and isn't affected by this guarantee.
Practice scores aren't a prediction
A 70%+ average in Auto Tech Prep does not predict or promise your official ASE result. ASE writes its own items and scales its own scoring, and we have no access to either. Our questions are built to the published ASE blueprint, but they are practice questions — hitting a number here is evidence you've prepared, not a forecast of your score.
We're not affiliated with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), and nothing here obligates ASE to anything.
Limits
- One claim per certification series, per account. Sitting A5 again during your extension doesn't create a second A5 claim. A different series — A6, A8 — is its own separate guarantee with its own qualification.
- The qualifying work has to be done on your own account, by you.
- The guarantee doesn't apply to an account that was refunded or charged back, to access that was granted rather than purchased, or where the practice record was manufactured to hit the thresholds rather than to study.
- We may update these terms. The version in effect on the day you bought is the one that applies to that purchase.
